Men's and Women's Garden Club of Minneapolis
In 2017, the Men’s and Women’s Garden Club of Minneapolis (MWGCM) celebrated its 75th year. The MWGCM is for everyone who loves to garden— whatever their experience level. Our members come from all over the Twin Cities metro area to share gardening knowledge with each other and the community. For over 75 years now, the MWGCM has dedicated itself to contributing to the betterment of life for both the community and its individual members through gardening and activities related to horticulture. Founded in 1942 as the Men’s Garden Club of Minneapolis, the club has a long history of community service. A large public garden is planted and maintained by members at Lyndale Park in Minneapolis as a gift to the community. Scholarships are awarded annually to students of horticulture at local colleges and universities.
